Anime music

After all is said and done… well I just had to post some anime music videos. I picked some soundtracks from my favorite shows and found the video clips. (I’m gonna be so broke if I find a music store in Osaka or Tokyo ;-))

For starters, lets begin with Origa. The song is called Rise and is the first opening tune for Ghost In The Shell: the 2nd GIG. Note that I couldn’t find a video clip of this song so this is the opening itself: {flv}demo/Origa_-_Rise{/flv}

Posting offline

The problem with being handy with websites is the fact that you manage to find new stuff to do over and over again (especially when your are supposed to be working on other stuff ;-))

Current music in Japan

I was toying with the video embedding earlier on and during the Japanese course I take suddenly the question arises what kind of music is popular in Japan. As I already had some names and links at the ready I decided to throw this mashup together.

Note that my Japanese still pretty much blows (sumimase, watashi wa aho desu) so I tried to get the current chart hits (but if I couldn’t find them I’d find something from the artist.

Almost there…

In my last post I wrote about the styling of the site and how it was slowly coming together. Well I’m almost done with everything I wanted: frontpage – done, detail pages – done, menu – done, plugins – almost done etc… Right now I only need to update the template of the gallery and test out the new plugins I added to the site.

First blog entry

This is the first entry I write on my brand new spanking blog Cool

While I’m typing this the whole site is still in a big overhaul but at least I’m making some slow progress to get the styles and components set up like I wanted. Next up is the installation of comments, the gallery and finishing the layout of this site.

About Me

My name is Berend Dekens and this blog is about my trip to Japan in February and March of 2008. I am a student at the university of Twente and I am currently finishing my master degree in Embedded Systems. As small break from my study I’ve decided to go with the Bonsai study tour.

More to come soon!
